This is true Tony Bennett swinging the blues. This CD gives you the closest thing to a live experience possible. Honest. Lean and mean. When I listen to Tony Bennett, it's almost always the recordings of his senior years that I love... NOT his early years when his voice was powerful and flawless.Sinatra lost his voice years before he should have retired and sadly became an embarrassing caricature of himself. Of course, Tony Bennett is losing his voice too. But satisfying performances are far more than just the voice. Bennett is still passionate and has mellowed beautifully with age and wisdom. He's better than a fine wine. To his detractors. yes, he lost his great voice years ago, But what he's lost in range, he's gained in beautiful nuance, depth, delivery, timing, and emotion. Older Tony is richer and deeper Tony.Other have gone into great detail about individual songs on this set. I will just say that I love this recording. It's one of my favorites and I have a vast array of Bennett's CDs.Give it a try. You won't regret it.
